Dr. Stubbs received her Board Certified Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Ga. early 1992, after attaining her Registered Nursing degree in Southern California in 1983. She worked as a Charge RN from 1983-1992. Dr. Stubbs obtained her Board Certified Licensed Acupuncture Degree from Parker College in 1994, and she completed her post graduate Clinical Nutrition studies at TCC in 2014. Dr. Stubbs focuses on combining SOT, Arthrostim, Thompson Drop, AK and Diversified techniques in conjunction with Physical Therapy Modalities, Rehabilitative Exercises, Acupuncture, Whole Food Nutrition ( Standard Process), Blood Functioning Chemistry(individual blood test to track your health and nutritional needs), Hair Analysis and specific soft tissue protocols to deliver exceptional individualizing health care to patients.
As the result of a car accident in 1987, Dr. Stubbs began seeing a Chiropractor for neck injuries she sustained. Her curiosity was overwhelming and her knowledge of Chiropractic grew. Dr. Stubbs was so impressed how her Chiropractor helped her get out of pain and heal without pain medications, Dr. Stubbs enrolled in Chiropractic School in California but quickly transferred to Life College in Marietta, Ga. Late 1991, Dr. Stubbs experienced a herniated disc in her neck and sought treatment from her Chiropractor again, which she was able to avoid surgery and not have to take pain medications. Again, in the summer of 2016, Dr. Stubbs fell off an RV and landed on her neck and sustained 5 fractures in neck, 5 fractures in the mid back, 2 fractures in the Low back, and a couple of rib fractures as well as a concussion. Dr. Stubbs was blessed not to receive any surgical intervention and draws on all her personal experiences with past injuries to help her patients heal. Dr. Stubbs designs specific treatment plans unique to the individual needs of each patient, whether the injury is old, new or traumatic. Utilizing a common sense approach, Dr. Stubbs emphasizes active patient participation and education, which helps her patients recover more quickly, return to their activities sooner, heal more completely, and may decrease their chances of relapse.
Dr. Stubbs opened her first practice right after graduating from Chiropractic school in 1992 in Anniston, AL. Then in July 2000, Dr. Stubbs relocated to St. Clair County and started Crossroads Chiropractic and continues to practice currently in Moody, Al. We have several generations under care here at Crossroads Chiropractic, husbands, wives, kids, aunts, uncles, cousins and childhood friends. Over the last 28 years, I have seen my practice (and many of my patients, grow). I love the family atmosphere that has been created here by my loyal and positive staff.
Dr. Stubbs resides in Odenville, Al with her VERY supportive husband Dale. Her son, Cody, is attending University of West Alabama on a Rodeo/Academic scholarship (full ride) and will be attending Life Chiropractic College in the Summer of 2021 and then plans to practice along side Dr. Stubbs at Crossroads Chiropractic. Dr. Stubbs and her family are co-founders of St Clair Co Cowboy Church and attend regularly. Dr. Stubbs free time is spent gardening, reading, helping her husband take care of the family farm and traveling to watch her son Cody compete in rodeos professionally and collegiate.
